By talking candidly to young people at a young age about the risks they are taking by abusing prescription drugs we will have a much better chance of keeping them from trying the drugs recreationally in the first place. It is also crucial to tell people that these drugs, when taken the correct way, are very beneficial for many people who suffer from various ailments.

Recently, there has been a string of high profile deaths involving various celebrities overdosing on prescription drugs. In most of these cases, alcohol has been involved. This is a deadly combination that many young people are trying every day. When an individual uses prescription drugs and alcohol together they are asking for disaster. These pills are not meant to be taken with alcohol. However, once a person begins abusing prescription drugs their judgment becomes severely impaired. This can cause them to do many foolish things while under the influence of these pills that they would not otherwise do.
